Jeffrey Weiskopf

Experience Matters

Jeffrey Weiskopf is a skilled trial lawyer and litigator who focuses his litigation practice on malpractice, general personal injury and commercial cases in New York State and Federal Courts. Mr. Weiskopf also handles selected criminal matters, as well as appeals to the Appellate Division, First Department and Second Department. Although highly experienced in the courtroom, Mr. Weiskopf is also a proficient negotiator who has utilized his experience as a court attorney to recover millions of dollars for his clients through the mediation and alternative dispute resolution process. Mr. Weiskopf enjoys working closely with the firm’s clients to ensure that they are completely comfortable throughout every step of the litigation process.

Before joining Halperin, Halperin & Weiskopf, PLLC, Mr. Weiskopf was employed as a Senior Court Attorney to the Hon. Tanya R. Kennedy in the Civil and Criminal Courts of New York County. Following his public service, Mr. Weiskopf was associated with the Law Office of Fred Lichtmacher and the Law Office of Joel S. Charleston, where he handled commercial, criminal and civil rights litigation on an “of counsel” basis. Mr. Weiskopf joined the firm of Halperin & Halperin, P.C. in 2010.

Mr. Weiskopf earned his B.A. in English/Creative Writing from the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor in 2002 and his J.D. from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 2006, where he focused on criminal litigation and was a member of the law school’s Criminal Defense Clinic.  He has since returned to Cardozo, this time as an adjunct professor, teaching Lawyering & Legal Writing to first year law students.

Mr. Weiskopf is admitted to practice in New York State, as well as the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York.
